Incase Sling Pack Review

My new 'Incase Sling Pack' arrived this morning, I haven't taken it out yet but so far it's seems great! Very comfortable and the reduction in weight from my old bag is amazing! [...]

There is only one issue I have found, and it's my own fault really:

When I first got my laptop I bought a sleeve for it to prevent it getting scratched and knocked around (I didn't think I was going to get a bag at that time), obviously when the laptop has the sleeve on it makes it bulkier than usual. Without the sleeve, the laptop a 17" Powerbook fits great, however with it, it doesn't and I am reluctant to stop using my sleeve as I hate buying stuff that I won't use even if I technically don't need it anymore.

Luckily you can remove some of the padding from the laptop pouch in the bag, which is where my gripe comes in, there's probably some reason for this but the padding is attached to the bag using velcro, what's wrong with this I hear you say. Well nothing, except when I removed the padding I found that the rough side of the velcro is left in the bag, which my sleeve stuck to not only making it difficult to slide the laptop in but was also ruining the sleeve. I have temporarily fixed the problem using the other side of the velcro which I unpicked from the padding, resourceful or what!

So, as this issue is not a major one and it only affects users with a 17" laptop and a padded sleeve I will give the bag top marks on first impressions! I will let you know how I get on once i've gotten a bit of wear out of it!
