Realised I hadn't written for a while, time flies when you are meant to be regularly writing on a blog!
At the moment we've got a group brief on at uni, which envolves thinking of and presenting/pitching an idea for an installation or event that will promote our uni. Our presentation is about shadow installations, a subject that I find very intriguing and would love to explore more. Unfortunately this brief ends at the pitch stage which is a pitty because I know that our group is very keen to have a go at actually creating our installation. However, luckily we have brief coming up that involves creating a digital installation piece for a local nightclub giving us the chance to explore the technologies that would be used in creating our pitched idea. Working with external sensors for Macromedia Flash, it'll be nice to move away from the computer for a while and explore new technology! [...]
I've been steadily progressing with my actionscript, I'm looking at load and unload movie clip at the moment as a means of putting the sections of my interactive narrative brief, which is getting there i'm glad to say! I've been on the forums alot lately aswell for help with my scripting. Thanks to www.dreamincode.net, www.actionscript.org and www.friendsofed.com.
I've been thinking about getting a new bag for my laptop because the one I have is really bulky and heavy. I have my eye on the Incase Sling Pack, I've read the reviews and it looks good. If you have any suggestions don't hesitate to comment. I'm thinking of purchasing the bag towards the end of the month so I have plenty of time to think it over.
