Rant & Rave

Whilst sat in a lecture this morning I had an excellent idea. After thinking about what has been written on our uni message boards recently I began thinking about difference between the university sold to you in your prospectus and the actual uni you see once you've begun paying your tuition fees. Does your uni live up to your expectations? Is it better than you expected? I thought about creating a place where you could rant or rave, warn or recruit others. Tell the country about your uni, tell the prospectives what to expect! [...]

The Plan:

I want to create a site for students all over the UK to rate their uni. From social life, halls of residence, course materials, equipment, tutor experience, local area and much more. Obviously it will be a rating system, I don't want to get in trouble for slander! However, I thought a forum would be great for people to share honest views.

What better way to get free impartial advice than from people that have already signed up? for better or for worse! Imagine how much easier it would be, no more "miss-information" no more disappointment, know exactly what you are paying for.

This would be a great project for me to sink my teeth into and turn learn to create a data driven site. Not to mention the benefits for prospective students if it became successful I know I would have appreciated it when making that difficult decision.
